# Prerequisites

Before setting up the Intellizence MCP Connector, make sure you have the required account access, credentials, and platform permissions.

### Intellizence Account

You need an active Intellizence account to use the MCP Connector.

Your account must have access to the datasets or signal categories you want to query through the connector.

### Subscription Access

Access to company signals depends on your Intellizence subscription.

Your subscription may include one or more of the following data products:

* Intellizence Company News Signals
* Intellizence Mergers & Acquisitions Dataset
* Intellizence Startup Funding Dataset
* Intellizence Business Expansion Dataset
* Intellizence Layoffs Dataset
* Intellizence C-Suite Changes
* Intellizence Cyber Incidents & Data Breaches Dataset

If a data products is not included in your subscription, the connector may not return results for that signal category.

### Authentication Credentials

You need valid authentication credentials to connect to Intellizence.

Depending on your setup, Intellizence may provide one of the following:

* API key
* Bearer token
* OAuth-based authentication

Do not share your API key or token in prompts, screenshots, public documents, or repositories.

### Supported AI Platform

You need access to an AI assistant or workspace that supports MCP connectors.

Intellizence MCP Connector can be used with supported platforms such as:

* ChatGPT
* Claude
* Other MCP-compatible clients

The setup steps may vary by platform.

### Workspace or Admin Permission

If you are using a team or enterprise workspace, your workspace admin may need to approve or enable custom MCP connectors.

This may apply to platforms such as ChatGPT Team, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude Team, or Claude Enterprise.

### MCP Server URL

You need the Intellizence MCP Server URL.

### Recommended Before Setup

Before starting setup, keep the following ready:

* Intellizence account email
* MCP Server URL
* API key or authentication credentials
* List of datasets included in your subscription
* Access to ChatGPT, Claude, or another MCP-supported client
* Admin permission, if required by your workspace
