# Intellizence MCP Connector

Connect AI assistants and AI agents to Intellizence company intelligence using Model Context Protocol (MCP).

The **Intellizence MCP Connector** allows AI assistants such as ChatGPT and Claude to access Intellizence company signals through Model Context Protocol (MCP). With the connector, users can search and retrieve business events such as mergers and acquisitions, startup funding, layoffs, executive changes, business expansions, cyber incidents, bankruptcies, IPOs, and other company signals directly from their AI workspace.

Instead of manually searching datasets or writing API queries, users can ask questions such as:

* What are the top M\&A deals announced this week?
* OpenAI Funding rounds
* Which tech companies announced layoffs recently?
* What are the latest CEO changes in retail companies?
* Latest product launches by Anthropic

### What is MCP?

**Model Context Protocol (MCP)** is an open standard that enables AI assistants and AI agents to connect with external tools and data sources.

The Intellizence MCP Connector uses this protocol to make Intellizence company intelligence accessible through supported AI assistants, allowing users to search, retrieve, and analyze business information using natural language.

* **Mergers & Acquisitions (M\&A) Dataset -** Structured data on companies that have announced mergers, acquisitions, and divestments, including announced date, acquiring, target, and selling company details (name, website, headquarters location, industry, ticker), deal value, deal type, and status.
* **Business Expansion & Major HiringDataset -** Structured data on companies that have announced business expansions and major hiring plans, including announced date, company details (name, website, headquarters location, industry, and stock ticker), expansion type, location, investment amount, and number of jobs expected to be created.
* **Layoffs Dataset -** Structured data on companies that have announced  layoffs, job cuts and downsizing, including announced date, company details (name, website, headquarters location, industry and ticker), layoff type, layoff location, layoff reason and number of employees impacted.
* **C-Suite Changes Dataset -** Structured data on companies that have announced C-level  executive and board changes (e.g. CEO, CFO, CMO, COO, Board of Director etc) , including announced date, company details (name, website, headquarters location, industry and ticker), executive name, title, title category and  reason for change.
* **Cyber Incidents & Data Breaches Dataset -** Structured data on companies  affected by cyber incidents and data breaches  including announced date, company details (name, website, headquarters location, industry and ticker), incident type, and  number of people impacted.

### How It Works

* Using Intellizence MCP is straightforward:
  1. **Ask a Question:** Enter a natural-language question in your AI assistant.
  2. **Automatic Tool Selection:** Your AI assistant selects the appropriate Intellizence MCP tool based on your question. You don't need to know which MCP tool to use. 
  3. **Retrieve Intelligence:** Intellizence retrieves relevant information from the datasets available through your subscription.
  4. **Explore Results:** Your AI assistant presents the results in a readable format - summary, table, charts & so on. Ask follow-up questions to refine your search or explore the findings further.
